Who do we sponsor?

Children are the future and that is why we sponsor every little bit helps. This foundation is committed to the development of children in Indonesia. Since 2005, for instance, the foundation has already opened 15 kindergartens in remote areas and since 1 January 2016 they have opened a school for children with disabilities!

We also support KidsRights for the children here in the Netherlands. KidsRights is a fine Dutch children's rights organisation that stands up for vulnerable children.

Join the Pipe has a dream; to build the longest water pipe to provide everyone with clean drinking water. Hotel Volendam is happy to contribute to make this dream come true.

Not forgetting our clean Volendam glory. We are a proud sponsor of the ‘vereniging behoud de Volendammer Botters’. The Botters are beautiful sailing museum pieces that are part of Volendam's heritage. Do you like sailing and/or boats? You can rent a beautiful Botter and sail on the Zuiderzee.

We also support the National Elderly Fund, they are committed to all elderly people and organise activities. In addition, we support KidsRights, they take action to ensure children's rights are heard.

Every year, the hotel has a co2 footprint drawn up, which is then offset by investing in sustainable projects. For example, a few years ago we bought certificates which meant that cooking in China was no longer done on polluting coal but on solar energy.
