Renovation
What can I expect from the renovation?
Van der Valk Hotel Volendam will be completely renovated. The hotel will become bigger and more luxurious. The renovated hotel will expand with the following:
An à la carte restaurant
A live cooking buffet
A terrace
A hotel bar with terrace
10 rooms for meetings & events for 4 - 300 people
A shop
Renovated rooms and 70+ new rooms
What will happen to the hotel during the renovation?
Hotel Volendam will renovate and expand the entire main building. The main building from 1973 will be completely demolished and rebuilt again. Due to the renovation, we currently have no rooms available until March 2026. However, our temporary pop-up restaurant The Valk Next Door’ and hotel bar will be open during the renovation. Of course, we will do our very best to minimise any inconvenience between 07:00-18:00.
Can I stay overnight during the renovation?

Reservation
How can I make a reservation?
Hotel Volendam is currently closed due to renovations. However, our pop-up restaurant and hotel bar are open.
You can make a reservation via our rooms, packages or the general ‘book’ button found at the top right of our website.
How can I pay for my reservation?
You can pay for your reservation in advance or on arrival via: Pin, American Express, Visa Card, Mastercard, Cash, VVV gift vouchers, Valk Giftcard.
Can I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge until 12:00 PM on the day of arrival. Please note: this does not apply to reservations during public holidays, non-refundable bookings and if stated otherwise.
Hotel information
When can I check in?
Hotel Volendam is currently closed due to renovations. However, our pop-up restaurant and hotel bar are open.
Check-in on the day of arrival is possible from 15:00. Should you arrive later than 18:00, please inform the reception desk.
At what time should I check out?

On the day of departure, we would like to ask you to check out by 11:00 at the latest. Earlier check-out is of course also possible.
Can I park for free?
As a hotel guest, business guest or when having a meal with us, you can park for free at Hotel Volendam.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are allowed in our restaurant, provided they are on a leash. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our hotel rooms. This applies to dogs, cats, and other pets.

How can I make a complaint?
If something does not quite go to your satisfaction during your stay, we kindly ask you to report it to our reception immediately. This way, we can do our best to solve the problem during your stay.
